Bite into Writing Book 2
Bite into Writing is a comprehensive resource for year 6 teachers, designed to help teach and assess writing with confidence. Book 2 is based on the quality text 'Everest' by Alexandra Stewart and Joe Todd-Stanton and includes two spotlight texts (a semi-formal letter combining description and recount and a newspaper report), teaching and learning activities, curriculum links and a writing showcase record. It also includes an overall commentary and detailed annotations for three sets of exemplification material. Book 2 can be used on its own or in conjunction with books 1 and 3 at any time during the academic year.
Bite into Writing offers a flexible, non-prescriptive approach to reading into writing that can fit around your curriculum plans. The diverse teaching and learning activities encourage pupils to develop their reading comprehension skills and inspire writing for a range of purposes and audiences.
